The State, the death of a child and value systems.

Abortion is brutal and kills a child every time. What is so disturbing to me is that the State allows abortion, the death of a child; the deliberate taking of a human life to solve problems.

I understand your point and if I was to take a poke or shot at Liberals, I would probably agree in a sense with Rush's comments. But if there is one thing I dislike about politics is how everything, even something that is not really a big deal or should hav eno relation to anything political, gets pulled in and used as yet another political tool or weapon to discredit the opposition. I don't mind pointing out where a Liberal and/or Democrat is wrong, but there are times I think some people go to far, take extreme measures and simply exaggerate or generalize things too much all in the name of "taking down the Democrats".

This right here is a prime example of how only someone like Rush Limbaugh could have found a link (even if a very, tiny, small one) between abortion and the death of this little girl simply because the (Liberal) Media is in a frenzy about it. Ironically, so are most people out there aparently. Ever since I heard about the verdict I have yet to see anyone actually agree with it. Don't get me wrong, I doubt anyone out there, even her defense, believed she was innocent in any way (after all the verdict was "not guilty" not "innocent") but we can't deny that in the end the evidence was circumstancial and the only conclusion to this is either the prosecution screwed up or just did not try hard enough and failed.

I think Rush is a bit too obsessed with his job. His desire to prove Democrats and Liberals are wrong almost all the time is so strong he will even find a needle in a haystack-filled Grand Canyon and say "You see? It can be done, but don't expect Democrats and Liberals to try or admit it". I think it's a bit pathetic to be honest to have to go to such extremes just to continue to push your agenda. Like I said, I don't mind pointing out where a Liberal and/or Democrat is wrong, but this exaggeration. This has nothing to do with abortion. Nothing what so ever, period. This woman is believe to have killed a child and due to "stpudity", in my opinion, she got away with it for now.

Charles, I actually agree with you for the most part.  The case is not political.  As for the verdict, I have to agree with the jury.  This is a case where there was reasonable doubt.  Do I believe she did it?  Yes, but our laws say "beyond a reasonable doubt".  And I think there was some from a legal standpoint.

However, her guilt or not (it is not innocence, just not guilty) is not a political issue.  At worst it is a case of prosecutorial incompetence.  At best it is the defense did a good job of sowing doubt to the jury.

You are right, the two have nothing to do with each other... except for what they reveal about the lack of logical consistency on the part of the liberal media.  You have to admit there is a major disconnect - hundreds of thousands of abortions occur without the media batting an eye, and supporters of the right to choose feel just as strongly as abortion opponents about the death of a born child, especially when it is the victim of murder.  Divorced of political considerations, what is the difference between elective abortion and the murder of an infant, from the 'victim's' perspective?

I agree with the verdict.  As DrG. said, this is a case where there was reasonable doubt.

I'll admit I did not follow the case except for the last week or so. There is no doubt that Casey Anthony is a very troubled person, but did she murder her baby?  No, I don't think so. 

My guess is that it was an accidental death. That Casey wanted to go out and party so much that she decided to put the baby to sleep using chloroform. As a result, the baby died, and Casey told her father, also a troubled person, and together they attempted to covered it up.

I Agree. I think the prosecution zealously over reached in bringing the charges against her, especially given they had no smoking gun to answer the "W" questions of the death of the child.
